We have a love/hate relationship.

When I finally stopped being in denial about Charlie turning one, I turned to Pinterest for ideas on celebrating her big day. Mommas, you already know. It’s overwhelming and beautiful. Every tile, perfectly curated for how to throw the biggest, bestest, grandiose party that a one year old will never remember. Smh.

I went to work planning this elaborate backyard celebration. From cakes to food to activities for kids to activities for adults. It was exhausting. And I was overwhelmed. After Kyle talked me off the edge, I re-evaluated and this was the result. Simple, quality, family time (lots of family, lol).

A mint and peach “theme” is what we went with. Mostly because any leftover decorations could be used for potential baby number two. #thinkahead

So this baby wasn’t about that cake life. Or those messy hands, haha. I guess, in a way, that’s a good thing. BUT, it’s a BIRTHDAY PARTY, come on little baby! #ifonlyitwereavegetablecake #nomnom #crazybaby
