I had literally been counting down the days to this newborn session. Sure, I look forward to all of our sessions, but this one was a different kind of special. You see, there are certain friends in life – childhood friends that grow with you to high school and on into college. Friends that share experiences and adventures that will never be forgotten. These friends are a part of who you are. But then life happens, you know? You move on. Different directions. And although you become different people, it turns out, it still feels the same.
Kellie had reached out a few months prior to baby Peyton ’s arrival to schedule a newborn session. As luck would have it, she just so happened to be married to one of those awesome friends. This sweet, sweet family made my job so easyyyyyy. If you ask them, they would probably say that our time together seemed chaotic, but no, it was quite the opposite.
Kellie and Joey were amazing. They had a sense of humor the entire time and were truly a team, which is the only way it can be when it’s two against two, lol. Both of their girls were adorable (as you can see) – even if Olivia wouldn’t be my friend (maybe next time, haha). It was actually because of her that I picked up one toddler #lifehack that I plan on implementing in the very near future. I would be selfish not to share, so to all of you moms and dads out there…are you ready?!
POPTARTS. ARE. LIFE. And bribery of said poptart will get you a few good shots from your not-so-sure-about-this-stranger-with-a-camera-in-my-house toddler. I’m sure it works on other things as well, but it’s currently still in the testing phase.
Haha! Once again, you guys were great and I’m so lucky to have been able to capture these moments for you.
